From Serra Malagueta you will ride downhill to Assomada
Serra Malagueta is a a Natural Park located in the northern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. At 1064 m elevation, it is the second highest peak of Santiago island, after Pico da António (1394 m).
The mountain and its ranges form a part of Serra Malagueta Natural Park. Its name etymology is from a plant (Capsicum), a variety of pepper.
The Park features approximately 124 species of rare plants of which 28 are endemic.
You will have the possibility to see 19 species of birds eight are endangered.
You will cross the Village of Tchade Lem and will see the Amilcar Cabral’s House and visit the Kapok tree in Boa Entrada
You will have a fantastic view of several streams including Ribeira Principal do Santiago (the main stream) and a few nearby springs during raining seasons.
