Cape Verde annual weather averages:

August is the hottest month in Cape Verde with an average temperature of 27°C (81°F) and the coldest is January at 23°C (73°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 9 in April.

The wettest month is September with an average of 77mm of rain.

Cape Verde Island is a warm and sunny place all year around and has little rain during August to November.

Temperatures are cooler at higher elevations like in RuiVaz, Serra Malagueta, Pico d’Antonia.

It’s highly recommended to take sunscreen, sunglass and avoid cotton clothing while riding. To stay comfortable, layering different weights of polypropylene, fleece, or wool works well.

WHAT TO BRING

• Athletic shoes, lightweight hiking boots, or trail running shoes with a sturdy sole

• Biking shorts – for comfortable riding – wool or polypropylene or Biking tights/equivalent

• Riding gloves

• Riding jerseys/T-shirts – windbreaker/light jacket

• Swim wear and Sandals – comfortable for around the beach, some trips have opportunities for swimming

• Hat or Visor – for sun protection

• Underwear, socks, & extra clothes – as needed for multy day ride

• Camera

• Water bottles – recommended for all tours

Reservation/Deposit:

To make a reservation we require credit card information for all day tours/ Multy days tours.  A deposit is required when arranging Private Tours.  The deposit is 50€ per day.  You may submit information securely through our website, or call our office. A confirmation email for your Private Tour reservation will be sent after receiving your registration.

Cancellation policy:

Any cancellation made prior to 48 hours will forfeit full price of the Private Tour. If deposit is required, and a cancellation is made more than two weeks prior to the Tour 1/2 of the deposit is lost. If cancellation is two weeks or less, no refund is given on deposit. For groups of 08 or more full non-refundable payment is due 7 days in advance.

If CV XTREM Tours is unable to provide you with another trip that is satisfactory, all moneys paid will be refunded and shall constitute full settlement with you. CV XTREM is not responsible for any additional expenses that may be incurred by a guest in relation to a cancelled tour including costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations, sickness and non-refundable air tickets and/or any penalties associated with such tickets.

Please consider purchasing Travel Insurance for emergency medical and evacuation coverage and for protection against trip cancellation.

Medical coverage:

Choosing to take a mountain biking holidays involves some amount of risk. Injuries may prevent you from continuing your trip and necessitate a visit to the emergency room.  This can get expensive. We recommend purchasing Travel Insurance even if you already have medical insurance since some expenses may not be included or are not fully covered by your policy.
