First day: Around 20 km riding

From Assomada ride to Tarrafal and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!

On your way you will visit the Park Serra Malagueta. You will see some very rare plants, approximately 124 species of plants of which 28 are endemic and 19 species of birds eight of which are endangered.

You will have a fantastic view of several streams including Ribeira Principal do Santiago (the main stream) and a few nearby springs during raining seasons.

-City of Tchao Bom and Riberia das Pratas

-Visit the traditional Rum production and taste the real “Grogu” (during production season only).

-Tarrafal Concentration Camp, built under the Salazar regime which contained opponents of the political regime.

-You will ride around the green fields of Colonato and discover the luxurious vegetation and local Fruits and vegetables

– Then you will enjoy swimming in the most beautiful beach in Santiago Island. Tarrafal’s beach has very clear water and unspoiled white sands.
