• Day 1:

– Cidade Velha; is the first city built by the Portuguese in Cape Verde and is UNESCO World             Heritage site since 2009! This is a place of Culture and History, it was the centre of the international slave trade during its heyday.

– Rui Vaz; on the edge of a 1 km high cliff overlooking Ribeirão Galinha with a splendid view of Sao Domingos, enjoy the fresh VIEW & AIR!!!

– Orgoes; Stop and discover the local Fruits plantation

– Assomada; explore the colourful city of Assomada with its markets, visit the Museum                               of Norberto Tavares, the Pioneer of the Cape Verdean Music such as Funana, Batuco and Finsason…

– Boa Entrada; you will visit Polon / Kapok tree, the oldest tree in Cape verde which is                         around 500 years old.

– Serra Malagueita Park; You will see some very rare plants. The park features about 124 species of plants, of which 28 are endemic. There is the possibility to see 19 species of birds, eight are endangered. You will have a fantastic view of several streams including Ribeira Principal do Santiago (the main stream) and a few nearby springs during raining seasons.

Evening free in Tarrafal

• Day 2:

– Tarrafal; Visit the Concentration Camp of Tarrafal built during the Salazar reign in                         Portugal. Also visit the green fields of Tarrafal with its fruit and vegetable plantation.

– Achada BelBel; Visit the village of Rabelados (rebels, in Crioulo) known for their opposition to the introduction of a new system of teaching Catholicism in around 1940.

– Santa Cruz; Visit the heart of Cape Verde’s Agriculture with its luxurious vegetation, Plantation an exotic fruits and vegetables. It sits in the town of Pedra Badejo which is the hometown of the great Cape Verdean singer “Catchas”.

– Visit the largest dam in the country “Barragem de Poilao”

-Return by Praia Baixo and São Francisco’s unspoiled beaches while enjoying the scenery.
