This trip will take you from Serra Malagueta, Ribeira das Pratas to Tarrafal

Tarrafal is situated in the northern part of the island of Santiago 29 km from Assomada and 66 km from Praia.

-Visit the Park Serra Malagueta (entry to the park including on the price):

-You will see approximately 124 species of plants of which 28 are endemic.

-You will have the possibility to see 19 species of birds, eight are endangered.

-You will have a fantastic view of several streams including Ribeira Principal do Santiago (the main stream) and a few nearby springs during raining seasons.

-You will visit Ribeira das Pratas (Beach).

-You will visit the Tarrafal Concentration Camp, built under the Salazar regime which contained opponents of the political regime.

-Then you will enjoy swimming in the most beautiful beach in Santiago Island. Tarrafal’s beach has very clear water and unspoiled white sands.
